Helping You Find Your Personalized Path Forward

At Clear Path, we believe that reaching out for help is hard enough, finding it should be straightforward and simple.

Helping You Find Peace
You are not alone.  Our trained clinicians are available to help you find the next right step.

Sometimes feelings of sadness or numbness make reaching out for help seem overwhelming.  Perhaps the anxiety of sorting through so many counseling options leaves you feeling stuck and unsure which path to take.  At Clear Path, our competent and compassionate professionals are available to help.  We commit to  walk you through the process of getting help and support you along the way .

  • Are you unsure if therapy is for you?
  • Have you found it difficult to find the right therapist?
  • Do you hope to integrate your faith into counseling?
  • Are you searching for accessible mental health services aligned with your location, insurance coverage or budget?

A proper initial assessment can minimize some of these common barriers to effective treatment:

  • Mismatch in client and therapist
  • Uninsured or under-insured coverage
  • Confusion about therapeutic needs
  • Overwhelm with the process leading to giving up

A good intake assessment can accomplish the following:

  • Clarify your counseling needs, taking a lot of guesswork out of the process
  • Vastly improve treatment outcomes
  • Identify yet unknown strengths and barriers
  • Personalize the therapeutic process
  • Develop a clearly identifiable path forward

What's next?

The mission of Clear Path Counseling is to provide brief but thorough assessments to  connect individuals in our community with competent and compassionate mental health support.

With virtually zero risk, you have the opportunity to leave your assessment feeling hopeful, supported and empowered to take the next step.

How it Works

Our main goal at Clear Path is to help you move from a place of uncertainty to a place of clarity.  The first step in that process is gathering information in the form of an informal assessment.  This assessment is completely self-administered online and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete.  It will help us direct you to the appropriate next step on your path to mental and emotional peace.

What kind of questions are asked in the assessment?

Our assessment consists of less than 25 questions that will help determine if therapy is right for you, which type of therapy is right for you and how we can help facilitate your journey to the appropriate source of support.

What if I don't know the answer to a question or don't want to answer?

Most of the questions are fairly straightforward, but if you find that there is a question you don’t know the answer to, just indicate that on the assessment.  A Clear Path Clinician will reach out and help you clarify any unanswered questions.  We know that answering questions about difficult topics can be hard, but the more honest and forthright you are about what you’re experiencing, the better equipped we will be to help you get unstuck and move toward a more hope-filled future.

Will anyone know my results?

You can rest assured your answers are completely confidential to the Clear Path staff, will NEVER be shared with anyone (*unless you’re at risk of hurting yourself or someone else).

How are you handling the COVID19 pandemic?

We prioritize our client’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.  The initial assessment is conducted online and your meeting with a Clear Path Clinician can be conducted virtually if requested.

How do I find out the cost of therapy?

There are a number of different ways to pay for therapy.  If you have insurance, indicate it on your initial assessment.  Your Clear Path Clinician will take that into account when connecting you to a therapist.  Sometimes, it’s more important to find a therapist who specializes in your specific need than to connect with someone who takes your insurance.  If this is the case, sometimes therapists offer sliding scale payment options.  Your initial Clear Path Assessment is always FREE of out-of-pocket charge to you.

MEETING WITH A CLINICIAN

What to expect if your assessment indicates the next step is meeting with a Clear Path Clinician

Find out more!

What will happen when we meet?

If you’re directed to a meeting with a Clear Path staff member, you can expect a warm and inviting master’s level clinician to contact you and set up a time to meet with you within a week.  The meeting will take between a half hour and 45 minutes and it will be conducted virtually or in-person, depending on scheduling and availability. You will discuss your assessment and the therapist will gather any additional information that may be helpful in providing a personalized referral plan for you.

Should I bring anything for the meeting?

If you find that a friend or family member’s perspective will be helpful in offering a clear picture of your current status, you are welcome to invite them into the last 10 minutes of the session.  Keep in mind that all information you, the client, share with us will be confidential but any information shared by a family member or friend about you may be shared with you in the process of developing your treatment referral plan.

Is there a financial commitment for this meeting?

Clear Path’s mission is to connect our community with grace-based mental health services, and we find that the best way to do this is by providing complimentary assessments that are completely free!  Our goal is to empower you to take the next step in your therapy journey and our aim is to hinder any limitations that would make that difficult.

What happens after the initial meeting?

After your meeting with a Clear Path Clinician, your clinician will synthesize all the information provided and map out a clear path forward in line with your therapy needs, insurance coverage or ability to self-pay.  You will be given two different options of Clear Path therapists who have been vetted for high competency and a grace-based therapeutic approach.  After receiving this specialized referral, you may call or e-mail one of the therapists personalized for you in order to set up your first appointment.

MEETING WITH A PASTOR

What to expect if your assessment indicates the next step is meeting with a Pastoral Care Team Member

Find out more!

What will happen when we meet?

If you’re directed toward meeting with a Pastoral Care Team member, you can expect a warm and inviting staff member at Sugar Hill Church to contact you and set up a time to meet with you within a week.  The meeting will take between a half hour and 45 minutes and it will be conducted virtually or in-person, depending on scheduling and availability.  You will have the freedom to discuss any current spiritual concerns you have at the moment and receive Christ-centered guidance regarding next steps from a faith-based perspective.

Do I have to be a Christian to receive this service?

You do not have to self-identify as a Christian to meet with a Pastoral care team member.  However, the team operates from a Christ-centered, Biblical perspective and most guidance will have elements of the Christian faith incorporated.  Your autonomy and freedom of choice will always be respected, without pressure, offered with the same grace-based approach that we believe is modeled by Jesus.

Should I bring anyone with me for this meeting?

If you find that a friend or family member’s perspective will be helpful in offering a clear picture of your current status, you are welcome to invite them into the last 10 minutes of the session.  Keep in mind that all information you, the client, share with us will be confidential but any information shared by a family member or friend about you may be shared with you if deemed helpful in the process of pastoral counseling.

Is there a financial commitment for this meeting?

This meeting is offered for free as a ministry of Clear Path and Sugar Hill Church.

What happens after we meet?

You and your pastoral care team member will determine if another meeting is in order.  You may also be directed to existing resources, support groups or educational opportunities.  Your pastoral care team member has specialized training in referring you to an appropriate next level of support after your initial meeting.
